- Universities in Warsaw are on top of the ranking. It is obvious that their graduates often stay in Warsaw, where earnings are the highest. Inevitably, their earnings are pushing their universities on top - says Dariusz Piasecki, head of the Career Office of Wroclaw University of Technology.
Piasecki is delighted with the place tht Wroclaw University of Technology got in the National Salary Report. The university conducts its own analysis of the earnings of graduates, which indicates that their salaries are even higher.
- About 40 percent of graduates after one year after of the graduation earn up to 3.7 thousand PLN gross, and 25 percent can earn even up to 4.7 thousand PLN gross - said the representative of WUT. - We also know the opinions of employers, who claim that a diploma of Wrocław University of Technology is a sign of quality, and its possession gives a guarantee that its owner is well prepared for a job.
Maciej Misiurek, president of MISMART, completed his degree in managment and production engineering at Wroclaw University of Technology.
- These studies gave me a solid foundation for later work - says Maciej Misiurek. - For example, when I worked in Selena, a large company producing construction chemicals, I used the knowledge and skills I gained during my studies. In time, I had less to do with "pure" logistics, and more with creating computer systems that support it.
The Wroclaw citizen stresses that it was important that students were allowed to enter different companies, where they could analyze production management processes. The fact that the University is constantly working with large companies gives their students the opportunity to learn how to solve problems in practice. This experience pays off when looking for a job.
Maciej Misiurek: - Studies are a basis, but then you must choose your own career path and constantly reskill, gain experience, look for your specialization. Today in my company, I work on systems that combine elements of production management and computer science. Without the knowledge acquired at the University of Technology it would be difficult for me to get to the place I am today.
